Over the years, I’ve worked extensively with Pampered Chef on various innovation projects. This project focused on branding and packaging design for their subscription box for kids & parents called Kids Club.

Branding & Packaging

I helped the internal team visually define their brand for this new subscription offering that focused on helping parents cook with their kids, discover new recipes, and try new kitchen gadgets that help make mealtime easier.

The new brand included a unique logo lock-up, a fun and lively color palette that worked with the existing Pampered Chef branding, splat illustrations that evoked kitchen spills and thrills, illustrations for the mascot Pancake the Puppy, along with a bespoke merch and shipper box design.

Recipe Guides

I had initially worked on recipe guides with step-by-step visual instructions that were clear and easy for kids to follow along. These were used by the Innovation team to test the concept with consumers. The guides highlighted the history behind each recipe as well as the Pampered Chef kitchen gadgets being used. The internal team ultimately updated the guides with the new branding.

Launch

The internal team worked on finalizing and launching the product including printing the box and inserts, creating an apron, mitts, and chef’s hat, a custom pin and plushie of the mascot Pancake the Puppy, as well as launching on site.

Mary Mahon, Innovation Lead, Pampered Chef

“The entire company was all a buzz about the design of the Kids Club and the CEO in particular gave several shout outs. More importantly, the parents AND the kids we tested the recipes and product with LOVED it and found the kit easy to use and fun.”
